Fethiye Nightlife
Fethiye is soaked in tradition and that probably brings tourists in the first place, but the city has developed an entire city within itself; one that promises sports, fine dining and what's more, a nightlife. The place is not blessed with a super-active nightlife as in western countries, and that's perhaps because it is still not completely out of orthodoxy. Even then, there is a decent night-life which caters to tourists across the divide.
Plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants make the place vibrant during nights. Clubs are few and far between, most of the places have an open-air environment with live music, and disc jockeys. The car cemetery bar exudes warmth. Though it may not be highest in terms of night-life equipment or even paraphernalia but it gives you a feeling of passive participation. You can just sit out, chill and watch all the activity; dance, music beats and DJ fun.
The Ottoman Bar has constraints of floor space and most of the times you have to dance literally moving on to the other person. This is still one place where the real movers and shakers enjoy, the evenings here are flushed with eurorock, trance, jazz, conventional Turkish, and soul and house music. Imagine the effect, with the moon cutting pace, and playing hide and seek with the clouds, a cool drink and active energy of harmonious music, all from a distance; perhaps a wooden terrace. There are also a lot of Ottoman regalia for sale and looking-around. You can adulate, window-shop, or even buy; the nargiles, instruments and attires. The place is filled to the tee after 10pm so it is important to come early. With some luck one can watch a troop of Turkish dancers performing on the folk songs.
Or else it is also recommended to catch a dolmus from Oludeniz or Fethiye and reach Hisaronu. This is where all the active nightlife is placed in the present days. With unprecedented cocktails and a generous flow of Efes, the place is cut out for quiet cozy evenings.
The Fethiye nightlife is following an exponential growth chart here, with time it would become more and more generous towards fleeting tourists.
